I am Pattie Zielke. See the "About Me" page for more and see the Havanese Links page for important information about them and if you are so inclined, the "Remembrance" page of my glorious Newfoundlands. My love of dogs began well over 30 years ago when my late husband and I bred and showed the Newfoundland dog as Z’ourgang Newfs. We showed them to Championships, Group placements, Group wins and even to Best In Show. The Remembrance Page is in part devoted to them because they dwell in our hearts forever.
Before Pat and I decided to bring Havanese into our lives, we spent a great deal of time researching the breed and breeders. I hope you are doing the same careful study if you are planning to add a Havanese to your family. I continue to learn about Havanese every day — and that is the joy of loving and living with Havanese.
BABY La Perlita
OUR PHILOSOPHY ON RAISING HEALTHY, HAPPY, LOVING, BEAUTIFUL HAVANESE
We had bred and shown Newfoundlands for many years. I believe that raising puppies takes knowledge, skill, preparation and supreme dedication to doing one's best to better the breed. This is my goal and plan to accomplish in my breeding program in my small way. LAMONTAÑA prospective parents are not only Champions themselves, but come from a long line of proven champions. However, more importantly, each has passed his/her health tests, the true indicator of good breeding stock.
Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home as members of our family just as are our "big dogs," living with us and their adult counterparts, playing underfoot, spending their time with their mother so that she can train them to be good puppies, with constant attention by and socialization with all manner of folks. They are tested for temperament/personality types at 7 weeks of age, reviewed for conformation at 8 weeks of age and released to their forever homes at between 10-12 weeks of age.
The puppies go to their forever homes with a lovely puppy package including their very own family history book, pedigree, individual vet health record, a blanket that smells of mommy and their siblings, their food list, and other fun little items.
I am very particular about where and with whom my puppies will spend the rest of their lives. My husband always said that getting a Newf puppy from me was worse than having to go through an adoption agency and an FBI interview. I don't feel any differently about my Havanese puppies. I just want them to be part of a wonderful home life. The good thing is that I will be supportive and as generous with my time as possible.
If you are interested in finding the Havanese puppy love of your life, feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org to chat about the upcoming litter. If you NEED a Havanese puppy RIGHT NOW, I will try to help you locate breeders who MAY have puppies. But please keep in mind that responsible breeders have waiting lists, too.
